One of the most traumatic part in a person’s work life is losing his job. His source of pride and well being. The effects of this unfortunate event is quick and far more devastating than one can imagine. It puts a big hole in one’s mind and heart. And you begin to feel the difference in your social, financial and family interaction. It doesnt leave anything good except the feeling of incompetence, anger, confusion and discouragement. These feelings often lead to a one more problematic situation… INACTION. It is the state in which you refuse to do anything except gripe and scorn on the past. This is very normal. And it is understandable. Many parts of our life is somewhat tied to our work even our identity and our self confidence. Losing job is like experiencing abuse. And it will continue to haunt that person even if he finds a new work. The best way to tackle this destructive tendencies is to learn to talk about it. Do not ever keep your feelings about your loss, a secret. It will take you a few days before you can actually come to terms with the reality. Go on. Weep tiol you cry it all out, then let it go. Next step is to just learn to keep moving forward. Dont dwell on those unnecessary things. Before you know it, you are ready to take on a new challenge in life.
