A company, even the greatest and best rely on the many people who are responsible for the success of any organization. The bosses may get all the credit for a good job his team did but he should never take all the glory and include his people in the recognition. Recognition deserved is recognition given. Get a raise because of your team’s good performance, treat your people and get them to feel the success of a job well done. Take care of your people being professional and compassionate at the same time. Never treat everybody the same for they are not, each and every employee is different and your job as manager is to know that and to use those differences to make a great team. Use your power to recommend people for better jobs/pay when ever necessary, no man is an island and without the employee running your errands or sweeping the floor, there would be no success.

That should be the attitude most people in the marketing field or just about any field should have, why? First, it’s not your fault that the economy is on the rocks and people lose their jobs because of this. Another fact is that with the current economic recession, people are not buying so just accept the fact you might not be selling as well. There are still customers out there as they have always been, they’re just harder to convince so work harder.
Stress levels fly and your blood pressure is right after it, take breaks and spend time with the family. Try to help diversify the company’s marketing strategies with input from all your fellow marketers. Explore avenues that have been untried like new media including podcasts, blogging and many other sponsorship opportunities created by the internet. You may also encourage new ventures with other firms with similar goals as you have creating a partnership towards a common goal which is to traverse the uncertain economic waters of this recession.

Seeing a movie is recommended by people, even doctors to boost your moral whenever you feel so lousy and you feel that nothing is happening with your career inspite of working doubly hard and making all the necessary adjustments and personal sacrifices just to be noticed by the higher ups. Movies have the power to inspire mainly because we tend to relate to the characters that are being portrayed. And also because some movies are true to life stories. Stories that have been experienced by ordinary people like us, first hand.
- The Secret of My Success – is a romantic movie but deals with a mail room worker who poses as an executive of a huge company to get close to one of the genuine executives.
-
Stand and Deliver – is a true story of achievement and persistence in the midst of trouble and heartaches. A story about a math teacher who convinces the high school students that studying is important.

Trust is given the pride of place among the factors that foster productive relationships in marketing and in contexts. Consistent with the scholarly literature, the popular press also lauds trust as the hallmark of effective organizational relationships and performance and perceives the effectiveness of managers as dependent on their ability to gain the trust of their subordinates. For example, in the sales context, the supervisors trusts the salesperson to exert maximum effort and commitment to achieve organizational goals. Reciprocally, the salesperson trust the supervisor to provide support, show fairness and objectivity in work assignments and performance appraisals, and show consideration for the salesperson’s welfare. The salesperson’s trust in the supervisor’s benevolence is therefore believed to enhance sales performance. There is a strong normative bias toward the inherent value of trust among both marketing researchers and practitioners. Yet there is little empirical evidence of a positive impact of trust on performance. Indeed, scholars suggest that the sources of trust may provide opportunities for it’s abuse.

Motivation is the process by which a person relates himself to his environment. He uses his own effort of will to advance himself up the ladder of success.
Management does work through people. All people have the same needs, although employees may place them in different order of priority because of their experience. The range of needs is quite wide but basically these can be classified as basic needs, safety, belonging, ego and self actualization. The employee tends to progress through the five stages and if we can grasp what these needs mean, then as managers or employees we may gain an understanding of motivation.
