Traditionally, marketing was a one-way communication from companies to customers and product information were provided through varied media – print, radio, television, billboards, public relations and direct marketing channels. The objective was to reach customers through one or more of these methods. With the advent of the internet, marketing was transformed because the limitations imposed by geographical factors were removed. The number of potential customers that a company can market its products had increased. Anybody could look for anything on the internet. Through blogging, a consumer can converse with the company and with other consumers on the net. Exchange of ideas can be achieved in the fastest way possible.
